Yesterday was National Poetry Day and to celebrate (belatedly!) we are sharing a poem which was inspired by the #BeTheRipple team's rippling, written by one of our team, Alex Killick. Alex is the Director of 'Leading Kind'. You can find out more about Alex in his profile on LinkedIn: Here and you can find him on Twitter: @killick_Alex. Over to Alex: What is Kindness?Kindness is consideration of another point of view Kindness is listening in the way you want me to Kindness is thinking about how this might affect your life Kindness is awareness and not adding to your strife Kindness is taking care of me so I can take good care of you Kindness is speaking up and speaking out so that you don’t have to Kindness is catching you before you fall apart Kindness is caring from the bottom of my heart Kindness is picking up the pieces when things don’t work out well Kindness is showing up not standing where you fell Kindness is respectfully disagreeing when I have a different view Kindness is feeding back and helping us learn too Kindness is good for business good for GDP Kindness is good for people, good for you and me Thank you so much to Alex for sharing this lovely poem, a piece which helps us to consider what kindness means. It may be a day late for National Poetry Day, but we hope it brings a smile for today's special day 'World Smile Day'!
